Join us in the Kitchen at MoM for the "Electric Summer" by Blake Blanco, presents by Factory, and opening Thursday, February 9th from 5:00 - 10:00pm.
The show is FREE and OPEN to public, and located in the bottom floor of MoM.
As an artist working in virtual reality, Blanco is deeply committed to exploring the potential of created landscapes to help combat the negative effects of seasonal depression. In his work, he aims to create immersive and vivid environments that engage the senses and offer an escape from the struggles of everyday life.
These virtual landscapes are designed to evoke feelings of peace, calm, and serenity. They draw on the restorative powers of nature and its ability to soothe the mind and body. The use of VR technology allows the artist to create environments that are not limited by physical constraints and offer a completely new kind of sensory experience.
Blanco dreams to provide individuals struggling with seasonal depression with a sense of connection to the natural world, offering a temporary escape from the negative effects of stress, anxiety, and depression.
Through his work, virtual reality becomes the power to transport us to another world, to provide a sense of solace and comfort, and allows us to reconnect with our own inner selves.
Blanco's landscapes are a testament to the power of technology, and the belief that it can positively impact our mental and emotional well-being.
